As he grew older, Tartini relaxed his concert activity, partly because of his health. The time at his disposal he therefore spent devoting himself to scientific activity, philosophical problems, mathematics and musical theory. We always hear from his letters of his continuing to teach. During this period Tartini was joined by his pupil, Giulio Meneghini.
