In those years there was such an important event that it brought all the major artists of Europe to Prague. In the first days of September 1723 the Emperor Charles VI and his wife Maria Cristina were crowned king and queen of Bohemia with solemn celebrations. Count Franz Ferdinand Kinsky, chancellor of the Bohemian court, hired Tartini who temporarily left his position with the Orchestra del Santo in Padua. Tartini's decision to leave Italy for Prague was certainly motivated by the prestige that derived from this stay as well as from an interesting salary. In 1726 Tartini and Vandini decided to return to Italy because of the adverse climate in Bohemia which had caused him health problems. From then on, Tartini refused all the lucrative and prestigious invitations to go abroad, preferring to remain with the Orchestra del Santo in Padua.
