Iconography and bibliographic sources

The section contains three parts:

The iconographic sources are made up of objects, portraits and prints relating to Giuseppe Tartini and contemporary settings and are illustrated further on in the note by Prof. Da Col regarding the Tartini-related objects held by the Conservatory of Trieste.

The antique bibliography presents an alphabetical index by author of thirty-one biographical sources. These sources are contemporary with Tartini himself or following the death of the “Master of the Nations”, which tell us about biographical and musical events relating to him.

These rare and difficult to access materials have been reproduced in full in digital format by Dr. Juan Mariano Porta, in the course of the tARTini project of the Italy - Slovenia 2014 - 2020 INTERREG programme.

The links to the respective texts are in the index for this part.

A third part of the section presents an index of modern publications on Giuseppe Tartini, including the most recent works on him and his students, which are still available or are being published.
