The innovation introduced in the INTERREG VI A Italy - Slovenija 2021 - 2027 programme with the call for capitalisation, which financed the Tartini Bis project, made it possible to qualify and strengthen the identification of sources, digital preservation and study, and the accessibility of publication of Tartini's heritage already present on the www.discovertartini.eu
The approach to capitalisation was aimed not only at enhancing the results of previous projects, but also at transferring methodologies and good practices to new partners committed to applying them to new objectives. This is the case of the rediscovery of the work of the Slovene composer Miroslav Vilhar, who was also a poet, writer and politician in the Slovene renaissance of the 19th century and whose rich literary and musical heritage has been structured on the digital archive model of the Discover Tartini website and re-submitted to the public in a tourist relationship integrated with the enhancement of the natural and historical beauty in the area of the Primorsko-Notranjska region.
The Regional development agency Green Karst, as a partner of the Tartini Bis project, provided research on the cultural heritage of Miroslav Vilhar, prepared by curator Tine Kaluža from the Notranjski Museum and prof. dr. Aleš Nagode from the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts Ljubljana. Within the project Vilhar’s work sources were digitally connected, and artistic recitals were performed in fashion of territorial ties. This represents an important factor for enhancing the region’s tourism appeal and serves as a cross-border bridge of cultural tourism.
The literary-musical performances also served as the starting point for the development of two tourism products. The first product, called “Along Vilhar’s path with a guide,” pertains to guided tours that include a presentation of Miroslav Vilhar’s life and work with a musical component and the possibility of being held at various locations. As part of this activity, guide materials were created by literary comparatist Andrej Rijavec, which are available at the Regional destination organization Green Karst and could be used by all guides in the Primorsko-Notranjska region on their tours. Additionally, a B2B event with Vilhar has been developed; it is an event that includes a literary-musical component and can be held at various locations, representing potential to enrich the core tourism offer.
